I've had a blog for over 8 years, and the themes and topics have morphed alongside my career and hobbies. Since I came to Microsoft in 2005, the site had largely gone fallow, used primarily as a place to share photos and stories with friends and family.
In September and October of 2008, I was doing a huge amount of research as a result of national and local elections, and the state of the economy. This (combined with the oportunity created by a nearly 6 week vacation) caused me to re-think the focus of my site. I decided to re-orient jrj.org towards discussion of the topics that have been on my mind the most outside of work. The personal photos will move to either
FaceBook or
Live.com-- I expect to complete the transition by the end of the year, and move all the old stuff to
jrjArchive.
